GSC Game World confirms that development on its upcoming survival horror FPS S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl continues after temporarily stopping work back in March due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The developer was based in Kyiv, one of the first fronts of the initial attacks. In March, they posted a video to announce that «game development has shifted to the sidelines» as the company faces challenges of supporting their employees and their families, as well as their country.
The good news is that GSC Game World has since relocated to Prague in the Czech Republic and will continue working on the game from there.
And if you haven’t noticed yet, the developer also changed the game’s subtitle of «Heart of Chernobyl» to «Heart of Chornobyl» to reflect the Ukrainian transliteration of «Chernobyl.» Additionally, they have also stopped pre-orders from Russia.
